Healthcare coverage is the biggest factor in whether children receive the preventive and routine healthcare services they need to stay healthy and go to school ready to learn.

New Hampshire Healthy Kids is one of the most successful public-private partnerships in the history of this state. Since 1993, we have cut the uninsured rate in half from over 10% to just over 5%. As a result, New Hampshire is now the third best state in covering kids, up from 20th place just over a decade ago.

Despite our success, more than 17,000 in New Hampshire children are uninsured. Most of these children are eligible for Healthy Kids coverage. Enrolling and retaining these children in the Healthy Kids program is a big undertaking.

It takes a mix of public and private funding to maintain our efforts and New Hampshire’s children who are still uninsured.

You can help by making a donation to New Hampshire Healthy Kids.

Charitable contributions are used to replenish our premium rescue fund. This fund directly helps families who suffer a temporary financial crisis keep their kids enrolled when they are unable to make their premium payment. Donations also enable us to advocate for adequate state and federal funds and public policy decisions that are essential to our continuing success.

New Hampshire Healthy Kids is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization.  Charitable donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

Volunteer Program

Please consider joining our volunteer program.  As a NH Healthy Kids volunteer, you will have opportunities to serve families directly through application assistance, contact at events such as health fairs, outreach and office support, advocacy, and conducting informational sessions for teens and immigrants and refugees about health insurance .
