Who Qualifies?

General Qualifications

To qualify for the Healthy Kids programs, a child must be:

• Under the age of 19
• A New Hampshire resident
• A U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
• His/her family’s income falls within the NH Healthy Kids income guidelines

In addition, children who qualify for the Healthy Kids Silver program must be uninsured for six consecutive months prior to enrolling. Children who qualify for the Healthy Kids Buy-In program must be uninsured for three consecutive months prior to enrolling. This rule may not apply for certain reasons. For example, if the child lost their coverage because their parent was laid off, this requirement may be waived.
