What’s the Cost?
Monthly Premiums
The Healthy Kids Gold program has no premiums or co-payments.
The Healthy Kids Silver premiums are $32 or $54 per child per month. If one or more of your children qualify for the $32 level, your monthly premium will not exceed $128. The monthly maximum for children enrolled at the $54 level is $162. In a calendar year, the most you would have to pay in premiums and co-payments is 5% of your yearly income. Any amount you pay over this cost-sharing amount will be refunded to you.
The Healthy Kids Buy-In monthly premiums are $237 per child. This amount is subject to change annually. Unlike the Healthy Kids Gold and Silver programs, the Healthy Kids Buy-In program receives no state or federal funding and there is no monthly cost-sharing on the family premium.
Co-Payments
In addition to the monthly premiums for the Healthy Kids Silver and Buy-In programs, families will pay co-payments for certain medical services and prescriptions. Click here for a chart outlining the Healthy Kids Silver and Buy-In co-payments.
Services for existing health conditions are covered as soon as coverage begins.
