Healthy Kids Buy-In medical benefits are provided in partnership with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Some of the benefits include:
- Well child visits and immunizations
- Routine physical exams
- Emergency Room care
- Urgent Care services
- Annual eye exam

Effective July 1, 2010, the premium for the Healthy Kids Buy-In program is $237 per child per month. Also, some of the co-payments for the Buy-In benefits increased. Click here for a summary of these changes.

Under the Healthy Kids program, your child can go to any contracted Harvard Pilgrim eye provider for a routine vision examination. However, eyeglasses are not a covered benefit on the Healthy Kids Silver or Buy-In programs.
Harvard Pilgrims members who have their eye exam conducted at Sears Optical or Cambridge Eye Doctors, can choose a free pair of eyeglasses from a selection at those optician offices. Harvard Pilgrim members can also qualify for discounts at other eyewear providers.

How do I cancel my child’s NH Healthy Kids coverage?
To cancel your account, mail a written request to:

or call 1-877-464-2447 ext. 235 and leave a message in the cancellation voicemail box. In order to cancel for the next month, we must receive your request by the last day of the current month. For example, if you would like to cancel for August 1st, you must notify us by July 31st.
In order to have your child’s eligibility for the NH Healthy Kids programs reviewed, you must submit a new application. You must call us at 1-877-464-2447 ext. 262 to start this process.
Benefits are the same as the Healthy Kids Silver program; however, some co-payments may be different. Please click here to see the differences in co-payments.

What are the prescription co-payments for the Healthy Kids Buy-In program?
Harvard Pilgrim offers a three tier precription drug benefit with low, medium and high levels of co-payments. Under the Healthy Kids Buy-In program, for up to a 30-day retail supply, the prescription co-pays are: Tier 1 $10, Tier 2 $30 and Tier 3 $50.

Healthy Kids Buy-In dental benefits are provided in partnership with Northeast Delta Dental. Some of the benefits include:
- Regular dental check-ups
- Cleaning and fluoride treatments
- X-Rays
- Sealants
- Fillings
- Simple extractions
Healthy Kids Buy-In dental services are covered up to a maximum of $600 per calendar year per child. Some limitations apply. Please refer to the Buy-In Dental Plan Summary for more information.
