What is 100% Schools?
100% Schools is a community-led initiative that connects uninsured
school-age children with health coverage. Participating schools
identify uninsured children and then provide outreach to help the uninsured
families apply for coverage through New Hampshire Healthy Kids.
What does it mean to be a 100% School?
A school meets the "100% School" standard when all uninsured families have
been provided information about Healthy Kids coverage and offered
application assistance. To become a "100% School," at least three
contact attempts by phone or letter are made to connect with each uninsured
family. While some families may not qualify for Healthy Kids coverage
and others may decline to participate, most uninsured families will qualify
and are anxious to cover their children.
How will participating schools be recognized?
Each school achieving the 100% School standard will be recognized at the
NHHK Annual Meeting which often features the Governor making the
presentation. A press release will be sent by NHHK to each school's
local newspaper recognizing the school's accomplishment. Most
importantly, the students in your school will enjoy the benefit of access to
great health coverage.
